Anna was 25 october on Uncle Ivan

Old acting school. Classic production. The acting is great. It makes no sense to sit on the balcony.

Ekaterina was 28 september on Uncle Ivan

Feedback from not a fan of Chekhov. Chekhov, like Chekhov. Nothing new and interesting. BUT! What game! You open yourself to famous actors in a new way! It is very joyful and that regardless of the plot, you can enjoy acting.

A wonderful play of actors, especially I would like to mention Berdinsky Maria (she saw the game of this young actress for the first time - amazing impressions) in the role of Sonya and Vladimir Vdovichenkov in the role of Astrov (his role in the movies I saw did not go to any comparison with his theatrical BRAVO), and of course Sergei Makovetsky (the great Russian actor). Good staging, thanks to director Rimas Tuminas. I advise watching the play at close range to see the actors' eyes.

Story

Do not be surprised if you come to the theater. Evg. Vakhtangov for the performance "Uncle Vanya", you do not recognize familiar characters, and famous words will sound unexpectedly. No, Rimas Tuminas did not commit an act of vandalism, he did not copy the text, did not cut it. He read it from a sheet, as if not realizing that even before him were interpreters.

The director cleaned the scene of everyday life, leaving the battlefield of passion, broken illusions, unfulfilled hopes.

The characters of A. Chekhov, seen by Tuminas and embodied by the actors, live in a collision of ambition, philosophizing, industriousness and indolence, service and consumption.

In the works of A. P. Chekhov they find the forerunner of the theater of the absurd: they say one thing, they do something else, they think the third. "Uncle Vanya" Tuminas about what Chekhov's heroes think and what they confess only in moments of emotional shock. They are sometimes tongue-tied, like Uncle Vanya, or excessively brutal as Astrov, but their confessions burst from the heart violently, like a man from a stuffy room to fresh air.
The director and performers love their heroes - so different, lonely, sometimes funny. Yes, yes, ridiculous!

Anton Chekhov called his plays comedies. Directors and viewers wondered why these stories, filled with suffering, understatement, ending always on a piercingly sad note - comedy?

For Tuminas, Chekhov's plays are the path of search, the solution of the essence, the justification of the genre. Each of his staging is an approach to the meaning of this mysterious word comedy, so contradictory to the context of the plot. How can one not recall the words of Alexander Pushkin: "A high comedy is not based solely on laughter, but on the development of characters and often comes close to tragedy."

Review

Do not make yourself an idol ... Life is lived stupid and tasteless ... So says Ivan Voinitsky. At home he is called Uncle Vanya.

He devoted his life to Professor Serebryakov, his brother-in-law. His scientific works on art he admired. And now he admits that he was wrong. How bitter it is, how painful it is.

Such people, as Professor Serebryakov, Chekhov called "case people". He seems a great scientist, a unique specialist, an expert on art. But this is all a lie.

Serebryakov lives on money from the estate of his prematurely deceased wife.

About his daughter from his first wife Serebryakov little care. His attention is given to his young twenty-seven-year-old wife.

Small feelings, painful life, monotonous everyday life ...

For twenty-five years, Uncle Vanya sent his income to Serebryakov. And then I realized that he was helping an insignificant and selfish man.

Powerless uncle Vanya can not get out of the vicious circle, which he himself created. Even in love, he is explained to a married lady. If he tries to shoot, he misses the target.

Vynitsky lacks the determination to start a new life. He can only resent and suffer, be vexed and angry.

"When there is no real life, they live mirages."
