But around the Polar Night, and he must sleep until Spring. Mom's stories about the sun, fish, sky, he sees in his dreams, fantasies. But here came Spring. Everything brings Umka to delight: both the bright Sun, and the blue of the sea, and the smell of snow. He pestered Mom with various questions, but most of all he is interested in bears-people. Dipper warns his son against meeting people, but he wants to look at these strange people at least in the corner, and, contrary to the advice of his mother, he goes to the people. The boy is also curious, and their meeting with Umka is predetermined. They understand each other without words: they have one perception of the world, because they are children! The darling is alarmed by this unity of souls: she understands that the friendship between the Man and the Bear is impossible, and decides to take Umka away.
