"Walpurgis Night" is written in the style of post-modernism, while in it the classical rule of unity of time, place and action is strictly observed.

Everything happens on April 30, then at night, then at dawn on May Day, on the most cheerful and disastrous night for all the characters. The intertwining of genre and semantic moves, a huge number of disguised quotations, grotesque references to ancient authors and cutting-edge philosophers, Soviet propaganda stamps, raised to the absolute absurdity, and prophetic predictions that have already become a reality of our days.

This is the second production of "Walpurgis Night", made by director Evgeny Slavutin. It is dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Venedict Yerofeyev. The first production was carried out even before the play was printed in our country, and was approved by the author himself.
