The male choir of the Sretensky Monastery is a collective that has not only an excellent varied repertoire, but also a unique performing style that allows the modern audience to hear and feel in a new way both liturgical chants and famous folk and pop songs. The male choir has conquered listeners from different countries more than once. Solemn services with his participation were held in the temples of New York, Boston, Chicago, Washington, Miami, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Seattle. In October 2012, the choir toured the best halls in the United States (Carnegie Hall, Royce Hall, etc.) with overwhelming success. The concert program specially prepared for the tour caused a flurry of accolades in the American press (New York Times, Washington Post, etc.). The journalists noted the high level and jewelry sound balance of the singing voices.
The performances of the Sretensky choir have become traditional at events in which top officials of the state, heads of foreign countries, well-known cultural figures, heads of major corporations take part. With the blessing of Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, the choir regularly participates in especially solemn events of the Russian Orthodox Church.
