Ludmila was 05 june on Tram "Desire"

Very strong setting. One of the best. The game of actors at altitude.

Elena was 13 april on Lord G ...

One of my favorite classical performances. A minimum of scenery and an amazing play of actors. Very magnetic production. I was sitting under hypnosis all the time. It is impossible to break away from what is happening on stage.

The verses of the Jokers used a poem by G.R.Derzhavin
The play sounds the romance "I love you so madly .." from the repertoire of V. Kozin

The performance takes place in Zamoskvorechye in the mid-60s. XIX century

"Jokers" is one of the best, transparent, funny plays of the classic of the Russian theater A.N. Ostrovsky. Virtually no modern stage history.
It was the "Jokers" in "Notes" about the "Rules of the Prizes" that the playwright himself named among the plays, "which must certainly be in the repertoire of any Russian theater if he wants to be Russian."
In "Jokers" there is everything to win and keep viewer's attention. Carefully hidden passionate love of the richest middle-aged merchant (even though the name is Khryukov) for a kind, proud and, of course, poor girl. Wasted government money. Harmless (and very harmless) rallies, turning into a real intrigue, almost drove the main character crazy - a retired official Obroshenov.
In The Jokers, Ostrovsky and the director pose heroes and spectators with a modern problem: poverty, of course, is not a vice, but only money can give real freedom. They tie this tight knot of problems, truly lamenting that human happiness can become dependent on three hundred rubles. But in "The Jokers" it is given to defeat honor, love and dignity.
The performance is a romance. Not cruel.
For playing the role of Pavel Prokhorovich Obroshenov, Honored Artist of Russia Sergey Barkovsky became the Laureate of the Golden Sofit Higher Theater Award of St. Petersburg. For the role of Anna Pavlovna, the actress Ksenia Katalymova became a diploma winner of the Golden Sofit Higher Theater Prize of St. Petersburg.
