And there are many, many different stories that fill the entire space of the performance with bright pictures. Gaidar talked about the boys and girls who lived in his time. It is possible that he came up with a lot, but his dreams became a reference point for young people. I would like the current younger generation to have similar examples to follow. The performance is both nostalgia for those ingenuous times and a compass showing the correct direction of movement. Such performances cannot be lost. Great takeoff. For the first time, we visited the theater of the Central Department of the Arts, on the recommendation of a friend chose the play “Old House”. The performance left a complex impression. On the one hand, the brilliant Elena Yakovleva, the wonderful game of all the actors without exception, live music that accompanies the entire performance, an interesting solution to the stage space, the simultaneous presence of heroes on the stage at different ages. From what was not pleasant: the performance was too delayed, often the music did not allow to hear the speech of the actors at the other end of the scene. For some reason, they did not feel shrill nostalgia for a bygone youth, for old Moscow. I thought about the movie "Pokrovskie Gate". A play by L. Zorin "The Pokrovskie Gates" on the same topic as the "Old House", but the impression is different, there is no sense of hopelessness from the clumsy fates of the residents of the communal "Old House"

I absolutely did not like Mandelstam's verses trying to sing, with almost one motive. And it's even hard to call a song, continuous howls, at times words were not even intelligible. In my subjective opinion this is a disgusting sight and it is not worth the time spent on it.

The creators of the OBLOMOFF play set out to recall a landmark event in the history of the Center for Drama and Directing - the production of the same name by Mikhail Ugarov, based on his play The Death of Ilya Ilyich. At the beginning of the century (the project was completed in 2002), Ugarov's performance opened a new stage in the modern interpretation of classical subjects. The ageless image of Ilya Ilyich Oblomov remains a mirror in which every person brought up in Russian culture still recognizes himself.
In our time, the hero of Ugarov's play vividly reveals the problem of the NEET (asocial) person. Whose passions and life are in full swing, but only in his head. He himself remains motionless, as in deep meditation. How does he interact with the world, and the world with him? His universe is no longer similar to reality, it is created by his imagination and fantasy, absurd, beautiful and comfortable.
Vyacheslav Ignatov: “This is a play about a child who never matured. I could not fit into the adult world, did not want to lose my childhood dreams, did not dare to commit acts contrary to children's idealism. As a result, he died unclaimed. The body betrayed the child's soul, at first it grew, and then it died. "

Vyacheslav Ignatov - director, actor, playwright. He graduated from the Minsk College of Arts with a degree in "puppet theater actor", then from SPGATI, the puppet theater faculty, as well as the Higher Courses for Scriptwriters and Directors, the Faculty of Fiction Film Directing. He worked in the theaters "Shadow", "Practice" and the Moscow Puppet Theater. In 2010, together with Maria Litvinova, he created the Trickster Theater, which is working on the creation of performances for children. He is a laureate of the "Golden Mask" award.
The Trickster Theater was founded in 2010 by Vyacheslav Ignatov and Maria Litvinova, graduates of the St. Petersburg Academy of Theater Arts. From 2000 to 2011 worked as actors and directors at the Moscow theater "Shadow". From 2005 to 2016 - actors and directors at the Moscow Praktika Theater. Since 2016, the Trickster Theater has been a resident of the Center for Drama and Directing. The theater's performances have taken part in international theater festivals in Russia, Germany, France and Pakistan. Vyacheslav Ignatov and Maria Litvinova staged 26 performances in Russia, Germany and Great Britain. The creators of the theater are almost annual nominees for the Golden Mask award and have twice been its laureates for the performances "The Epic of Lilican" in 2010 and "Journey to the Land of Jumbla" in 2016. One of the most striking recent performances of "Trickster" is "School of Sleep", staged at the Center for Drama and Directing.


Theater "Center for Drama and Directing" was founded in 1998 by Alexei Kazantsev and Mikhail Roshchin. The aim of the creators of the CDR was to help young directors and playwrights to realize their ideas in the search for new theatrical ideas. At different times such directors and playwrights as Olga Subbotina, Vladimir Skvortsov, Vladimir Pankov, Marat Gatsalov, Kirill Serebrennikov, Vadim Danziger, Vladimir Ageev, Elena Isaeva, Alexander Zheleztsov, Mikhail Ugarov, Vasily Sigarev, Ksenia Dragunskaya, brothers Presnyakov Yaroslava Pulinovich, Yuri Klavdiev and many others.
The performances of the Center for Drama and Directing have repeatedly received the highest awards and prizes at various Russian and international theater festivals.

Since August 8, 2016, the theater has been headed by Vladimir Nikolaevich Pankov - the founder and ideological inspirer of SounDrama Studio
The appearance of Vladimir Pankov as the theater's artistic director is symbolic for both the Central House of Theaters and the SounDrama Studio team: the first performance of the novice director was staged here and the foundations of the future studio were laid. That is why now our plans are not so much the reformation of the theater as its revival in the form in which it was once conceived by Alexey Kazantsev.
