The play is based on the book of the same name by the famous Swiss writer Max Frisch.
"I'll call myself Gantenbain" is a story about modern people, about us with you who have lost faith in themselves and their own destiny. In the narrative, a lot of stories "about the same thing" are told in parallel, and it is not clear in advance which version of events is true.
"I'll call myself Gantenbain" is jazz improvisation on the eternal theme of love, an attempt to understand why a man is not able to match a woman, even ideally invented by himself. This is a chance for the viewer to "lose" possible variants of the development of the same events. The main motive in this game is the decision making or refusal. In the finale there is only blues melancholy from the impossibility for women and men, even the closest ones, to understand each other to the end.
Sergei Trifonov, director:
"We are so wonderful in devising our lives, our women, what then can not exist with them in reality. We come up with notes that we can not play, we simply can not. And all our problems are due to this discrepancy. This whole story is an opportunity to ask yourself "uncomfortable" questions and honestly talk to yourself, the opportunity to once again invent your life, good or bad, but your own, not someone else's. "
“ Wonderful actors !!! Many thanks! Difficult for staging a work in the theater .. Cope! PS Very uncomfortable chairs in the hall .. You get tired physically. Highly!
