Dramatic chronicle of the Time of Troubles by A. Ostrovsky.

MGIET today is the only theater in Moscow that plays on its stage this grandiose historical chronicle. Its action takes place in the autumn of 1608 - in times of great turmoil and dual power in Russia, when Tsar Vasily Shuisky ruled in Moscow, and Dmitry Pretender in Tushino. It was a time of great trials experienced by the Russian state, and a time of disillusionment of the people in power, captured by criminal means. In the play, the richest section of the Russian society of that time was given, many actors of different classes-princes, noblemen, boyars, voevods, atamans, clergymen-the Russian dual power dragged into a heavy war. In the center of the story is the family of the Moscow nobleman Redrikov, whose two sons are in two warring camps, as a result of which one brother kills another ...

Ostrovsky's drama is written in the verse text of extraordinary beauty, passionately read on stage and determined the powerful poetic intensity of this spectacle, filled with high patriotic reflections about the fate of Rus (difficult at any time). Historical pictures of popular unrest and destructive fratricidal wars are played sublimely and passionately. The Russian people on the stage are amazingly handsome, noble and brave, and the two Redrik brothers, Maxim and Nikolai, who were in the service of two different kings, captivate us with the ancient article of their Russian noble family, which disappeared together with that distant Rus of the seventeenth century, where these amazing and Beautiful people in the blinding enmity destroyed each other.

In January 2010, the artistic director of the theater, Mikhail Mizyukov, was awarded the prize of the Writers' Union of Russia "Imperial Culture" for staging the performance "Tushino".
