According to the idea of ​​the director of Alexei Kurganov's performance, the forest glade on which the action unfolds is turned into a children's playground with a swing, a horizontal bar and even a basketball ring.

Heroes of fairy tales, play hide-and-seek, blind man's buffs, lambs, in classics and "in rubber bands." Mole, Squirrel, Frog and other characters resemble a courtyard company of children, which seeks to get "seemingly not a hero" Hare. He really wants to win the friendship of the beautiful Belochka. But for this it is necessary to go through a very difficult path and, above all, to win over oneself, overcome shyness and fear.

Gradually, "not like a hero" becomes a Hero. He commits the main act, confessing his own cowardice when the dream comes true, when everyone around him considers him brave and ready to join his company. To abandon the long-awaited friendship only because he was not completely honest, to ridicule the surrounding people, and even risk his life to save a friend - only a brave heart can do it.
