Story

Artistic director of the theater Mark Rozovsky offers the audience its own version of the famous play by the Czech playwright Karel Capek "Mother." Created in 1937, it was the final work in the writer's work. The cruel play produced a furor. She called for the protection of peace and freedom, to defend them with weapons in their hands, to fight against fascism, which at that time raised its head in Europe.

"Mother blames" is a piercing play, a monologue of a woman, five sons and her husband are fighting and dying ... Mark Rozovsky first put "Mother blames" at the Moscow Art Theater, at the invitation of Oleg Efremov, more than 30 years ago. The performance became a sensation and was a huge success not only for the Moscow spectator, but also for abroad.

Modern realities make the current production absolutely necessary, give it acuteness and topicality. Monologue of the Mother will be performed by the leading actress of the theater "At the Nikitsky Gate", Honored Artist of Russia Marina Kaidalova.
