The play "Colonel-Bird" was staged according to the play of Hristo Boychev (Bulgaria), written in 1997 against the backdrop of the Yugoslav military conflicts. The heroes of the play are patients of a psychiatric clinic, abandoned to the mercy of fate in a monastery in the Balkan Mountains. During the storm, UN aircraft mistakenly drop the cargo intended for the "peacekeepers" - the military uniform. The silent patient, former Colonel Fetisov (Russian, who lost his family during the bombing), mobilizes the sick in a small fighting unit - changing them and giving them a faith in a healthy life. In 1997, the play "Colonel-Bird" won the prize of the British Council, was translated into different languages and staged in European and Russian theaters. The anti-war message of the comedy-parable of Christo Boychev is again relevant.
