The Anne Frank Diary is a historical document. These are records in Dutch, which the girl Anna conducted during the years of the occupation of Holland by the Nazis.

Anna Marie Frank was born on June 12, 1929 in Frankfurt to a Jewish family. In 1933, massive persecution and oppression of Jews began in Germany, and Anna's family was forced to move to Amsterdam. On May 15, 1940, the capitulation of the armed forces of the Netherlands was signed. By 1942, the situation in Amsterdam became so heated that Anna Frank and her sister, their parents and several family friends were forced to hide in the attic of the house where the office of Anna Otto Frank's father was located. From the outside, it seemed that the upper floors were uninhabited, and the door to the stairs leading to the secret shelter was disguised as a bookcase.

Diary Anna received a birthday present on June 12, 1942. The family hid in the attic for two years. In early 1944, Anna herself began to literally process the records, hoping to publish them after the end of the war. The last diary entry was made on August 1, 1944. Soon all the inhabitants of the shelter were found and arrested.

In 1947, Otto Frank published his daughter's diary in an abridged version. Since then, the book has been reprinted and supplemented many times. The Anne Frank Diary has been translated into more than 60 languages.
