Comedy in 4 acts
(The performance comes with one intermission)
The most mysterious and most beloved play by Alexander Bourdonsky, which he touched for the first time in the walls of the Theater Institute (GITIS), and then he put on both stage venues and different theaters, including in Tomsk, Japan ...
The real premiere of the Theater of the Army is the director's seventh appeal to Chekhov's masterpiece. Contact with this play, - according to the director, - mobilizes mental forces and morally cleanses. In his production, Burdonsky prefers two epigraphs, thereby defining the director's decision, the range of issues that now concern him and the other creators of the play. Why does Chekhov call his play a comedy? -Can there be a comedy in the understanding of Anton Pavlovich - akin to Balzac's "Human Comedy"? What is a witch lake? "Our habits?" Flights of our fantasies? Our unfulfilled desires? Will Nina be a great actress? Or is it important that a person will be born? And what is the essence of the Seagull? What is the artist's mission? - To realize that his talent is a message from above, which must be understood and implemented ?! The director and actors in the new production of the theater of the Army, peering at the faces of their heroes, into their souls, make one more attempt to open the veil over the mystery of human existence, love, creativity. By placing the audience (59 people in all) on the stage of the theater, the director makes them not only accomplices of what is happening, but co-creators who are struggling to solve the great Chekhov's work.
In the play, L. Beethoven's music sounds.

“ The performance of the Seagull on the small stage of the theater of the Russian army leaves just an amazing impression: the play was staged classically, but the action takes place literally two steps from the audience, since only three rows of the auditorium are located in the back of the stage, which allows you to enjoy the beautiful performance of the artists!
“ A wonderful performance! Suddenly!!! The actors played sincerely. With impatience waited for the second act, it was so exciting! Thank you very much for this performance!
