For several decades now it has been the undisputed authority of the world scene. Behind Wilson, the largest theaters of the world are lining up in the Paris Opera, the Bastille and the Comedie Française, the Deutsche Theater in Berlin and the National Theater of Prague, Milan's La Scala, the New York Metropolitan Opera, the Hamburg State Opera, the Brussels-based La Mone Theater, the City Theater Stockholm and the Zurich Opera ... Wilson works with outstanding figures in the world theater and art: Isabelle Huppert, Mikhail Baryshnikov, Willem Dafoe, Jesse Norman, Marina Abramovich, Lady Gaga and many others. Each of his new work becomes an event of world significance, invited to the world's leading festivals. At the Bolshoi Theater in Moscow, he staged one of the most famous operas Madame Butterfly. Earlier in Moscow, the tours of Wilson's performances were held three times: in 1998, during the Chekhov festival, the performance of "Persephone" was held on the stage of the Chekhov Moscow Art Theater; in 2001, the play "The Dream Game" was shown in the program of the Moscow Theatrical Olympiad; in October 2013, Within the Solo festival of solo performances, the performance "The Last Crappa Ribbon" based on S. The original production of the world-famous master will help us to see with new eyes the masterpieces of the Russian classic, which are known to each of us from childhood.
To participate in the play "Pushkin's Fairy Tales" Robert Wilson chose the best young actors already known by their roles on the stage of the Theater of Nations, among them Darya Moroz and Dmitry Serdyuk, Elena Nikolaeva and Oleg Savtsov, Anna Galinova and Alexander Novin. The artistic director of the theater, People's Artist of Russia Yevgeny Mironov will head the acting team. He will play the role of "Storyteller".
Wilson arrives in Moscow with his team: the famous German opera director Nicola Panzer, the largest theater artist AJ Weissbard, one of the best young stage designers of the world, Annick Lavalle and others. Music for the performance is written by the famous American duo CocoRousie, famous for his extraordinary image and musical style.
Preparation of the play "Fairy tales of Pushkin" takes place in several stages. Rehearsals began in August 2014 at the world-famous Robert Wilson Theater Center "Watermill", near New York. Then in November, in Moscow, the Theater of Nations held a second "round" of rehearsals. The final direct work will be released in May 2015, and on June 16, 2015, the world premiere of the play will take place on the Big Stage of the Theater of Nations, which will be the main theatrical event of the year and an important stage in the history of the Russian theater.
The music for the play is created by the famous American band CocoRosie. Bianca Leilani's two sisters, Coco Casady and Sierra Rose, Rosie Casady, are considered to be adepts of the freak-folk style along with the singer Bjork, and have long ago subdued World scene. To Moscow they will come for the first time specially to work on the performance.

American director Robert Wilson does not accept conventions, he is not at all interested in doing what somebody has already tried or done before. He loves experiments and is able to turn any work into an incredible show.
This is exactly what happened with the tales of Pushkin, known to us from childhood. And do not be afraid of it.
After all, you will fall into a completely unique fairy-tale world, where there are no actors - but there are puppets. They will curl, show you languages, immensely replay, and sing a lot.
But maybe this is what our classics did not have enough for adults to remember about it. Not children who read or pass in the school of his fairy tales, namely adults. To see in this something new or remembered the well-forgotten old. After all, who said that Pushkin wrote his fairy tales for children?
